Mt. Hood Organic Farms makes you feel that, for a day, time has stopped and rolled back to a different, more tranquil era.

Established in 1904, our Mt. Hood orchard estate is a mere twenty minutes from Hood River and the legendary Columbia River Gorge and just over an hour from Portland, Oregon, but is a thousand miles from the real world. The perfect farm and garden setting in the Pacific Northwest to host your destination wedding, you are immersed in an inspired landscape surrounded by family, friends and majestic mountains. We can host a select number of weddings up to 175 people from the end of May until the first of October, when harvest season begins. Your storybook wedding begins here in this best of all worlds.

The Cottage

Full of light and vintage charm, it is the perfect romantic orchard cottage to gather with your closest friends and family to prepare for your special day and make lasting memories together. Historic to the farm, it is spacious and private with two bedrooms, a living room, well-appointed kitchen and full bathroom. It is perfectly situated for the grand processional.

The Carriage House

The farm’s original 1904 carriage house was transformed into a cozy studio with a full bathroom and comfortable living room, perfect for relaxing with your wedding party before your guests arrive. Located a considerable distance from The Cottage, with its own private yard that opens onto iconic mountain and east hills views, it is a completely separate building on the grounds for getting ready.

The Rose Garden Arbor

There is a drama and story to the event as it effortlessly unfolds and moves through the grounds in a unique and intriguing way. Every space for every part of the event is different and enchanting. Your guests are greeted with refreshments as they walk through the rose gardens and arbor passage that leads them to the ceremony garden.

The Ceremony Garden

You and nature are on stage here with Mt Hood as the breathtaking backdrop for your vows. Surrounded by English-style gardens and ample shade from the towering trees that encircle and shelter the ceremony garden, your guests have a front row seat with you and the mountain as the main event.

Cocktails at the Pond Bar

Your event moves seamlessly to The Pond Bar where nature and culture meet and romance and connection happens for the next hour and a half. Our friendly and professional staff is there to greet you and your guests with passed appetizers, signature cocktails, wine, cider, beer and beverages of your choice. A generous amount of lawn furniture is well-placed next to a pond in an expansive two acre meadow with ample shade for yard games, music and exploration of the orchard with views of Rim Rocks, Surveyors Ridge, Mt Hood, Mt Adams and the top of Mt Rainier.

The Mt. Adams Meadow

Located at the north end of the pond are extensive shaded grounds surrounded by tall graceful aspen and fir trees with a full view of Mt Adams in Washington to the north.  This private area is loved by photographers for family and wedding party photos and first looks.

The Apple House Reception

Historic hand-crafted and detailed architecture, in a magnificent setting coupled with fresh, seasonal, elegant farm-to-table dinners prepared by our well-trained and passionate chef, make for unparalleled hospitality and the most memorable dining event. Dinners are served in our 3200 square foot window lined Apple House, where whimsical details abound. Formerly the farm’s packing house, it is a truly unique indoor outdoor space with sweeping views of Mt Hood and Surveyors Ridge. The custom-built reception bar sits under the entrance awning as guests make their way inside. Wine service is at the tables to eliminate lines. Our venue staff and service are superb and the sense here is one of family and connection with the goal of creating one of the most remarkable days of your life.

The Courtyard

A flower rimmed, shaded lawn nestled between the Apple House and Greenhouse, the Courtyard can be used for al fresco dining, overflow seating for larger groups, or just a sheltered spot with bistro tables and chairs to mingle with friends or watch the dancing inside. It is ringed with lights and the trees are lit  as well, as are all the grounds at night.

The Greenhouse

Light-filled, airy and architecturally detailed, The Greenhouse can be used as a dedicated space for cocktails in the event of rare inclement weather. If not being used for cocktails, it remains an additional gathering place with bistro tables and chairs and makes a canopy unnecessary. A working farm, this building houses our vintage 1937 packing line, which adds a certain charm and authenticity.

The Viewpoint Meadow

Your storybook wedding ends here with boundless, mesmerizing views in every direction—Mt Adams to the north, Surveyors Ridge & Rim Rocks to the east, Mt Hood to the south and glorious sunsets and the Cascade foothills to the west. The meadow extends to the forest line and echoes of a wild and scenic river drift up from below. Wildflowers for every season encircle the meadow, which sits on a high plateau that dramatically opens out to an idyllic tableau of Upper Valley orchards below and beyond, and the glacier covered north side of Mt Hood. A perfect place for group photos during golden hour and dramatic and romantic shots on the infinity meadow. Ample seating on the lawn in front of The Apple House provides guests with a front row seat to the splendor and iconic Oregon close-up view of Mt Hood, the sunset and clear starlit skies at night. Mt. Hood Organic Farms invites guests both inside for intimate joy-filled receptions and outside to revel in the magnificence of the landscape. This is where nature and hospitality merge to create a one of a kind experience.
